The Tomorrow Cellars Guide to Porch Season
Long evenings, warmer weather, the first summer berries, all signs say porch season has arrived. Don’t have a porch? No problem. We like to think of porch season as a state of mind. It’s about gathering a few friends and using the season as an excuse to slow down and watch the world go by. See, no porch needed. The only requirements are that you get outside, find a relaxed state of mind and have a delicious beverage (nonalcoholic or otherwise!) in hand.
Here's the Tomorrow Cellars official Guide to Porch Season.
Start by mixing up a batch of Strawberry-Lavendar Rhône Fizz. It’s simple yet elevated and gives you an excuse to buy the first strawberries of the season. If you don't feel like making anything, popping open a chilled bottle of our Rhône Blanc works too!
Strawberry-Lavendar Rhône Fizz
1 Serving
Ingredients
2–3 ripe strawberries, hulled and sliced
½ oz fresh lemon juice
1 tsp honey or simple syrup (adjust to taste)
1–2 dashes All the Bitter Lavender Bitters
4 oz Tomorrow Cellars Sparkling Blanc de Rhône
Ice
Fresh basil or mint, for garnish
Directions
1. In a shaker or sturdy glass, muddle the strawberries with lemon juice and honey until juicy.
2. Add 1–2 dashes of All the Bitter Lavender Bitters and stir.
3. Strain into a wine or coupe glass filled with ice.
4. Top with Tomorrow Cellars Sparkling Blanc de Rhône.
5. Stir gently to combine.
6. Garnish with a fresh strawberry and a sprig of basil or mint.
Set the Mood
Nothing sets the tone for an evening on the porch like the right playlist. To get you started, we gathered songs that make us think of sunshine and brighter days ahead. Have songs you think we should add? DM us on Instagram and we'll add them!
Porch Snacks
Snacks, of course, are a crucial ingredient for a porch hang. We love this simple lemon ricotta and spring pea tartine. It's light but savory and pairs beautifully with our Rhône Blanc. Recipe credit goes to friend of Tomorrow Cellars, Tyler Sears.
Clare's Lemon Ricotta and Spring Pea Tartine
Ingredients
Ricotta, 16oz
1 Lemon
Olive Oil
Mint or other herbs of choice
Sourdough or Whole Wheat Bread
Honey
Directions
1. Mix 16oz ricotta with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, zest of one lemon, and drizzle of olive oil. Add salt and pepper to taste.
2. Blanch and cool spring peas. Thinly slice or tear mint leaves and incorporate with peas. Any and all herbs work here.
3. Slice and toast bread. Lather with Ricotta mix, top with pea salad with a drizzle of honey and black pepper to finish. Serve with Tomorrow Cellars Rhône Blanc or Strawberry-Lavender Rhône Fizz!
A Flower Moment
No porch season setup is complete without a few seasonal stems. Head to your local farmers’ market or flower stand and look for what's blooming now—ranunculus, snapdragons, sweet peas, cosmos, and chamomile are all in season and perfect for casual arrangements.
Keep it simple: pick 2–3 varieties in a mix of heights and textures, then loosely arrange them in a recycled wine bottle, mason jar, or small ceramic pitcher. Let the flowers do the work—don’t overthink it. The beauty is in the wild, slightly imperfect look that feels just right for warm afternoons and slow evenings outdoors.
Cheers to the start of Porch Season!
